About Kuumba Community Foundation
Kuumba Community Foundation is a women-led movement grounded in Buhera District, Zimbabwe.

We work with women who are already sustaining households, economies, and ecosystems under pressure — strengthening their agency to lead, produce, and build on their own terms.

We begin from a simple belief: women already hold the knowledge, capacity, and potential to shape their own futures. Our work is to recognise that potential and create the conditions for it to grow.

Our model is deliberate: we start with what already exists — local resources, indigenous knowledge, and collective systems.

From there, women organise into economic and social structures that generate income, secure food, and regenerate the land — creating resilience that is owned, not delivered.

We are not here to implement projects.
We are here to build systems that last.

Our Work
This is what women-led change looks like.

Across Buhera, women are building from what already exists — turning local resources into income, food systems, and regenerative landscapes.

What is emerging are enterprises and community systems that are owned, sustained, and growing.
