About Kuumba Community Foundation
Kuumba Community Foundation is a women-led initiative rooted in the rural villages of Buhera District, Zimbabwe. We work alongside women to strengthen their agency, amplify their leadership, and support community-driven solutions that merge food security, income generation, and environmental restoration.

Our approach is grounded in the appreciation of local natural resources — using what is already around us to nourish our families, grow our incomes, and care for the land. From intercropping and tree nurseries to savings circles and small enterprises, Kuumba supports women to lead lasting, transformational change for themselves and future generations.

Our Projects
The first step toward true community empowerment is recognizing the value of what we already have — and using our local resources to build the life we envision for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
